I am now a Certified Scrapbook Instructor!!!

Good evening everyone!  I wanted to share with you that I have completed my training and I am now officially a Certified Scrapbook Instructor!  I cannot believe that I did this, but I took 3 notepads full of notes.  My hands are killing me!!!  LoL!
To those that were curious as to what type of training and where I was getting this at I will explain.  I inquired at Michael's about being an instructor over a month or so ago.  They were back in contact with me to get me started on being certified in order to teach classes.  I completed them this afternoon.  I received 100% on all tests as well.
So I wanted to share this...I will let you know what is next!
Also, the winner of my give-a-way will be announce tomorrow...good luck everyone!!

New Blank Scrapbook Layout

Good evening fellow Crafters & friends!  Hope your weekend is treating you well.  I have begun to sneeze a bit here and there I really hope it's some sort of seasonal allergy and not the onset of a winter cold.  That would stink!
Well Kevin is off at his dads this weekend for the first time since he's moved in.  He said he is having a good time.  I miss him already!  He will be back tomorrow though...he has already text me asking what is for dinner tomorrow. Hehehe.  It was a joke though, he seems to ask that question daily and usually in the morning hours.  So now him asking that has turned into a running joke.
Here is the latest blank scrapbook page I have created.  It is called "Sweet Girl":

I have also been burying myself in the online training for the Certified Scrapbook Instructor.  I have so far completed 8 of the sections having received a 100% in all of them, with 5 more sections to go.  Then I also am to be trained on some Martha Stewart things...so after the 5 remaining, I will start on the Martha Stewart training.  I am learning so much and have already begun to create examples and handouts for my future classes.
Well I am off now to go bug Eric who is playing X-Box. I am so mean...Muhahaha!
Take care everyone and thank you very much for continuing to stop by.  It really means so much to me.

Smash* Book, Michael's, Middletown Arts Center Classes, new cards

Hello everyone!  Happy Thursday to you all. For some of you this is the last day of your work week or school week depending on where you are and where you work.  I know Kevin is happy to have a day off.  I won't lie, I am looking forward to not having to leave out of here in rush hour traffic to get him to UC on Friday morning.
I got some mail today and it was my Smash* book I had ordered!!! I am so happy it came today...~happy dance~
I also ordered a bunch of extras to go with it and I just cannot wait to dig into them all.
Here is what I got in case some of you are not familiar with the Smash* book:
This is the actual book, it comes with a black pen/glue all in one.  I ordered a pink pen/glue and another black pen/glue, I got the Smash* stamper
I got the Smash* fabric tags, 2 Smash pads; 1 is Special Occasions & the other is Quotes, I got Smash stickers {70 in this little packet!}
6 Smash mini envelopes
2 elastic bands to hold it shut {only one is shown here now}, Smash tape that has expressions all over it, 4 calendar pockets
I just can't wait to start Smashing!

I also created more cards:
I also did more on the training classes online for Michael's CSI course.  I have received all 100% on the tests.  I have 8 more to go + the Martha Stewart classes.

I wanted to remind anyone who may be from my area or surrounding area of Middletown, Ohio that enrollment is now open online for the Scrapbook/Stamping Classes at the Middletown Arts Center.  Simply click on the link and select classes and sign up!  It's really that simple.  If you are not from the area but know someone who is and might be interested, please pass on this information to them.  I have so much planned for these classes.  They will meet on Fridays and Saturdays.  Same class but offered on two different days so that one or the other will hopefully fit your schedule.  They are from 10 AM- noon on Fri & Sat.

I am going to head off to bed now, I hope you all stay warm tonight, I am actually getting cold now...I have been hot all day long.  Take care and I will see you soon.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas! Give-A-Way Reminder!!!

Good morning everyone!  Hope you slept well and are ready for the day...I have been up all night, yea...I know I Know.  I guess since I have had 3-4 nights of peaceful sleep I was due a night of no sleep.
I have been a busy bee though.  Yesterday I was sent an email that said I was selected to partake in Michael's online training course to provide me with the necessary information and skills to teach the Spotted Canary School program in their stores!!!  When I complete the training I will become a Certified Scrapbook Instructor and will be authorized to teach Spotted Canary School.  I am also being trained on some Martha Stewart items as well.  I am super excited!!!
I started last night and completed one whole section and received 3 "100%" for the 3 quizzes I took.  So I am off to a great start if I say so myself.
I also created two cards last night as well as a blank scrapbook page.  Blank because I intend to sell it at A Sweet Life shop.  They requested some scrapbook pages from me.  So this is the first one.  Let me say real quick that it's a little different to create a page that you do not put your own pictures on.  But still just as fun! So here is my first blank page titled "Here Comes Santa Claus":
I used 12 x 12 red cardstock, DCWV patterned paper from the  "Christmas & Winter Stack", some vintage lace, snowflakes are Bazzill Basics Paper "Just the Edge" cardstock strips, Santa and deer are Jolee's Boutique from EK Success, journal tag from Maya Road, stickers from Webster's Storytellers, and red ribbon from Whimsy Cottage.
Whewww...that's a lot of different product!

I made two cards, but had sealed one up before I took a picture of it...opps!
But here is the other card called "Fun Snowmen":
In the second picture here you can really see the glistening of the Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue ink.  I used a Stampabilities background stamp called "Swirls & Curls", Kraft paper as the base, Recollections patterned paper from "Bright and Jolly" collection, ribbon from Michael's, snowmen from Jolee's Boutique from EK Success, Stamp from CardzTV set Home for Christmas, white cardstock & Copic Multi-liner black pen for the faux stitching.

I really hope you enjoyed these.  Thank you all again for stopping by!  Please do not forget about the Give-A-Way here on my blog.  It ends this Friday and the winner will be announced on the 14th, Monday.  So sign up & tell your friends about it.  A  brand new Yudu Cardshop is up for grabs!

Take care everyone and have a great day!

2 New Christmas Cards for You!

Good evening everyone!  Hope you're all doing well on this "There is no way that it is November when I can sit here with the windows wide open and fan on" night. LoL!
Anyyyyway...
I have created two new cards tonight that I would like to share with you.
This first one is called Winter Wishes:
I used a tan/beige cardstock with patterned paper from DCWV's "The Christmas & Winter Stack" and the stamp is from CardzTV stamp set "Home for Christmas"

Here is the second card:
This card is made from Kraft paper and some vellum overlay on top of it.  The vellum has leaves and vines in it.  The scene is water colored and the star is glittered using Martha Stewart glitters.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a glorious rest of the night and a spectacular tomorrow!
Take Care Everyone!

Getting things ready for Classes!

Good morning everyone!  I sure hope you are nice and toasty warm where ever you may be now, b/c it is really cold here in Milford, Ohio this morning...Brrrr!
I have been creating lesson plans, informational hand outs and technique hand outs for The Middletown Arts Center Scrapbook & Stamping classes I will be teaching starting in January.  The Winter schedule is due to be up very soon, so keep checking the above link for more details if you are interested or know of someone who may be.  I am so looking forward to this and I have come up with some exciting techniques and lessons to pass on to the students who attend these classes.
I will be working on some cards and scrapbooking later on today and tomorrow {Sunday} and post what I have done here.
I hope you're all well and I will see you all very soon!  Thank you for stopping by!

Halloween fun and some other misc,

Good Day Everyone!!!  I want to wish you all
A VERY SCARY...and VERY SAFE Halloween.

Last Friday night tons of kiddos here in my apartment complex all were dressed up with pillow cases and pumpkin containers which to me indicated they were going to go "Trick or Treating" on Friday.  But they all apparently went to some function where they were all picked up and take away.
So I am sure it will be crazy outside here come 6PM.  At least that is when I am thinking it starts.  I was telling my son the other day that when I was at the trick or treating age it started like 5 or 6 {I am leaning more towards 6}, but it did I know for a fact lasted until 10PM that night.  Regardless if it was a school night or not!  And to tell a child that they needed to come in before 10...well that was simply unheard of, LoL!  The only reason we would return earlier than 10 was to grab a new pillow case due to the original one being jammed packed!!!

I created a new mini-card set and I will be photoing them in a little bit.  Right now I am getting things in order as far as all the pictures from the car accident on the 5th of Oct to take with me to court this Wednesday.  I also just this morning took pictures of the actual intersection to take with me.  With me luck on Wednesday and keep me in your thoughts please.
I also want to apologize that I  was not able to complete the full 31 Days of Halloween.  Between the move, the car accident, I had to put a stand still on them.  I will however keep up with my positive journey and I do hope you continue to at least follow that. :)

Take care everyone!  I will see you soon with the pictures of my card set!

Wooo is me...

Oh everyone I have been so neglectful on here lately and I feel soooo bad about that.  I am in the process of moving as you know, I have been trying to do something everyday to get the current apartment ready for us to make the move a lot easier on everyone.
This whole thing with the apartment though is turning into a huge mess if you ask me.  It seems that the management can't seem to figure out what they want Eric and I to do, fill out, or what...the one thing that they seem to ALWAYS do with no problems or delays is having us pay them more and more money.  That is all I can really say about the matter when it comes to the management dept here. There is just some issues here that I have to iron out and figure out the why's, what's, and how come's of it all. When that happens I will happily vent out loud...lol.  Can't you all just wait for that huh?  LoL!

I am also getting Christmas things going here as far as creating some cards, some Christmas planners, etc. for the Middletown Art Center on December 3rd.  They are having a Holiday Open House and I am going to try and sell a few things but mainly what I will be doing is promoting my scrapbooking/stamping classes while doing some make & takes with those who come.  I have decided that I will have 2 options for those who want to participate in the Make and Take; first option is a 6 x 6 scrapbook page that people will make and then later add their photos, or they can make a Christmas/Winter themed slider card like the Frankie card I had made for the 31 Days of Halloween.  I still have to get everything decided on as far as what embellishments and what all I want on the scrapbook pages and the cards.  This all is coming out of my own pocket, but I feel that it will be good publicity for the classes and will get more people interested in it.  I am however trying to think of a technique I can use for the scrapbook page.  I really do not want to have just things they adhere on it, I want there to be something more and something "WoW!" on it.  But it would have to be cost efficient to me.  Any ideas?  I'll gladly take any and all that you have to offer!
The program coordinator at the art center mailed out my contract yesterday, I am anxious to read it.  I have never had a contract like this before...I guess you could say I am excited about it.  Reading it and signing it makes it all official and that makes me VERY happy!
Well I am going to get busy now...I have some crafty ideas running around my head and I must get to them quickly before they run away!
Before I go...this must be said...my cat Jiggles was laying on my computer because it's warm, blah blah blah...the point in telling you that is that while I was writing this post there was a thud, and I looked all around the room and didn't know what it was.  Here I look under the desk and she's just sitting there on the floor with this little pathetic cute as ever look while having one paw still on the computer trying to figure out how she fell off  it.  LOL!
Here is a picture of the kitty I am talking about:
This was the other day when she decided to just lay down on my arm while I was literally typing on the computer...
Not the greatest photography here, but this is her on top of...yes my craft room door doing her balancing act...
She follows me all the time around here and even walks to the door when I am leaving b/c she knows it...so she is spoiled as this is an extra chair with a comfy pad on it for the kittybears here, but mainly it's her chair. Gotta love my babies!
She is just to cute for words!
Take care everyone and I will see you soon...as I said, I have to get crafting, I am way behind on my Positive Journey also...so stay tuned!
Also do not forget about the Give-A-Way I am having.  Tell your friends there is still plenty of time to sign up!  Would love to have more in the mix for the drawing!
