Love comes in all colors...

Hi everyone!!! Hope everybody is doing wonderful on this Friday morning!!!

I wanted to share with you a new card that I just created.  It's called "Love comes in all colors..." I couldn't be more happy with how it turned out.  I used a digital stamp from Tiffany Doodles called "stained glass heart". I used Dear Lizzy + American Crafts 'Spring Dragonfly Dance' patterned paper, light pink card stock that I outlined in black with dotted lines.  I took the digital stamp and used pastel colors, used the center heart and placed pop-dots to raise it a bit, while highlighting the entire stamp with Martha Stewart glitters;tourmaline colored glitter for the inside of the stamp and heart, and fire opal for the border of the stamp and outline of heart along with the sentiment. Under the stained glass heart digi-stamp are two ribbons.

I hope you like the card!  I had a lot of fun creating this!

New Mini-Album Project to share with you!

Happy Sunday to you all!  Hope your day will be a good one for you and yours.

So I was surfing around yesterday on the web, I stopped off at YouTube.com to look at some "How-To" videos on some mini-album ideas.  These were all spectacular ideas and the video's led me to this place...Pause Dream Enjoy where Janis has started a 52 Question's Mini-Album.  She posts a new question each Tuesday and then you create a new page for YOUR mini-album with the question and your answer.  Sounds neat doesn't it?!  She has a list of all questions up til now.  She is I believe on week #29.  I obviously JUST found this and so I am starting on week#1.

Here is my first page to my 52Q:
Using pink polka-dotted patterned paper from Boxer Scrapbook, three Maya Road clocks{all turned to 12 Mid-night}, Bo Bunny brads holding the WEEK #1 QUESTION which I printed out from my computer, Dream Ticket, and 5 pastel flowers.  All held together with pink binder rings.

This here is the back of the polka-dotted page:

Here is my answer inserted inside with a ribbon attached for easy access to it:

Thank you for stopping by today!
And as always have a great day!

Valentine's Day Card for my Eric and an IMPORTANT REMINDER!!!

Hello everyone!
I wanted to share with you a card that I created for my baby Eric for Valentine's Day.
This card did not take very long after I had the pieces together for it that is, lol.  It took 6 different Cricut cartridges for it.  I am going to be taking a class on the Cricut Expression starting soon and I know how to use it for the most part, but since it still is a wee bit new to me I want to learn some of the basic things
that I can use everyday so that I won't have to waist paper and/or time on things like Real Size and just making things that I want the correct size the FIRST time around.  So I had to play a wee bit with this card
to make sure all would fit correctly and it all did!  I think it looks great!

So what do you think?  Did you create any cards for the people in your lives?

REMINDER:
Tomorrow, February 14th Sassy Lil' Sketches will have a card reveal and I will be showing you all my take on the sketch with some photos of the card I created for it!!!
So Pretty Please stop by tomorrow for the reveal! You'll be glad you did.

And as always; Thank you for stopping by.  Take care and have a great night!

How to make a Woven Heart & Easel Card...

I wanted to share with you a card that I made along with a tutorial.

It is a two-part card, first part is a woven heart card.  Second part is making an easel card for the heart to be
placed onto. So let's get started.

First let's get all our supplies together:

Supplies for the woven heart are:
1) 2 different colored pieces of card stock 3 x 5
2) 2 pairs of scissors 1-decorative & 1 regular
3) Piece of card stock measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 {we will be attaching the completed heart to this}
4) Ruler
5) Adhesive of your choice
6) Anything you would like to embellish your completed heart with

STEP ONE) Take decorative scissors and on both pieces of 3 x 5 card stock, cut a "hump" onto them; round them out. Do this on the 5' side.

STEP TWO) Use ruler and regular scissors on opposite end of decorative cut, and cut 3 slits 3/4" apart from on another and make cuts approximately 3" long.

STEP THREE) Now Begin weaving both pieces together; start weaving inside and working your way out.

STEP FOUR) Continue to weave until all strips are intertwined with one another and use small amount of adhesive of your choice on each strip on ends to ensure they don't rip or tear at another time.

STEP FIVE) Take your heart and attach it to the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of card stock you have chosen, then decorate however you want

Now we are going to start on the Easel Card

Supplies Needed for this Easel Card are:
1) Coordinating piece of card stock 4 1/2 x 11
2) Piece of coordinating card stock for matting  2 1/2 x 3 3/4
3) Piece of coordinating patterned paper for on top of matting 2 1/4 x 3 1/2
4) Your woven heart
5) Adhesive of your choice
6) Pop dots
7) Letter stickers

STEP ONE) Score & fold 4 1/4 x 11 at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2

STEP TWO) Take the 2 3/4 fold and fold inward; this is where your heart will be attached

STEP THREE) Take your two pieces of remaining card stock and adhere to one another then using pop dots; place onto the long end of the scored paper

STEP FOUR) Using your letter stickers, write out sentiment onto this card stock

I hope you like this card and will try it out on your own as well!  Thanks for stopping by!
And as always; Have a GREAT day!!!
