Triangle Tri-Fold Card & A Scrapbook Layout about Conceiving

Good afternoon everyone!
Yes it is Monday again time to get things done and let go of the weekend's past fun.  I found this
little poem on a site about Monday's:

Monday must be the most horrible of days.
The reasons it's horrible are too horrible to say.
But with that said, I'll try to explain
Why Monday must bring us oh so much pain.
You see on Monday, you work with a frown.
The full work week ahead has gotten you down.
The weekend has come, and the weekend has passed,
And like all weekends it just didn’t last.
But Monday sure lasts, it lasts so long.
You keep checking your watch to see what’s wrong.
But against your wishes your watch is just fine.
Against your wishes you can’t speed up time.
So you sit and you wait and you pretend to work.
You dream of a boss that isn’t a jerk.
But then you wake up and you almost cry.
You wish and you wish that the day would just die.
But wait, please listen, don’t worry my friend.
For one thing is certain, all Mondays must end.
Now that it’s been said, I’ll say it again.
More Mondays will come and more Mondays will end.

I thought it was cute and something a wee bit different to post.

I belong to several groups on Yahoo! and one in particular is having a Tri-Fold card swap.  I created a Triangle tri-fold card in the colors that my partner likes most; blue & green.  This was my first attempt at this type of card.  What I love to do is go to YouTube.com and look up tutorials and go from there.  I started a book that has everything I have learned in it so far.  It's a big book!
Anywho...here is the card that I made for Carol; my swap partner:
This is the card closed
As you can see I embossed the triangles
This is the heat embossed greeting on the inside of the card
This is how the card looks opened up

I really hope she likes it!  It was VERY easy to make actually I was surprised!  I am thinking of making some for Lake Waynoka's Craft Fair in October.  I am thinking some card sets or something.

I also created a new layout yesterday.  This layout was made using The Flying Unicorn's August Kit of the Month.  A great kit I would like to add!  I received it the other day in the mail and wow!!!
This layout also uses pictures that you may have already seen of me.  I thought the self-portraits that I took for the Shimelle Explore class would be perfect for it!
I want to explain the layout...
Eric and I have given this a lot of thought and we have decided that we want to try to have a child.  I know that I am 39, have a 19 & 17 year old, and some minor health issues...but this is something that he and I really want.  We have already seen the high-risk doctor who has sent me to a diabetic specialist.  So I am doing what I need to do.  Anyway, I wanted to make a layout about my decision on this matter.
Hope you like:

I hope you liked what I shared with you today, even if it is a Monday!  I hope you all have a fantastic day and thank you for stopping by!

You know me well enough to understand the million thoughts going through my head.
Agree with you that the tri-fold cards can be fun and are unusual enough they might be movers at a craft show - can't buy them in a store. Love your scrapbook layout and know I will be sending you an e-mail in the near future ;) Give a "hey there" to Eric.

Christy, love the tri-fold and the idea for a swap for them. I also love that you have put together a book on everything you've learnt so far, I really should get around to doing that myself. I end up saving all my stuff to a folder on my pc that gets opened every once and a while....

I'll be rooting for you and Eric on your journey towards the conception of your child together. Keep us posted and may God bless you throughout.

xoxo
