Repeat Impressions - What If? Wednesday - Sketch Challenge!

Good morning and welcome to another Repeat Impressions What If? Wednesday.  Today we have a sketch challenge for you.
This is another great sketch from Wendy.  Here is what I did with it...

The materials used in this are Repeat Impressions stamps; Candy Cane Penguin (#8813) and Snowflakes (#8805).  Inks used were all from Memento and the colors are Tuxedo Black, Danube Blue and Bahama Blue.
Copics were used to color in everything.  Colors used: R85, YG41, R37, Y35, B02, B24, B37 and B41.
Paper is from Cloud 9, DCWV, Recollections and Bazzil.
To create the notches on the ends of the penguin I used my Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper from We R Memory Keepers.

Please stop over at my fellow Rock Stars blogs and see their takes on this great sketch.

Thank you for stopping by, take care and I hope you find time to create something crafty today - try this sketch!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 10 ***Three Pumpkins***

Good morning everyone...it's raining here now on this cool Wednesday morning.  I am waiting on Eric to wake up now because he said he wanted to go with me to Stamp Your Art Out.  They are at 50% off everything now and so I really want to get back there again.  For some of you who mentioned and asked if this is the store that put on the Stamp Away conventions in Sharonville; yes it is the same one.  She said they will host next year's Stamp Away XXI but I don't know what will happen after that if someone else will host it and get it all together or if it will just fade away...which I certainly hope the latter of the two won't happen.  They are such sweet dear women who run the shop.  I love it!  Have taken a few classes there as well.  Very friendly atmosphere when you walk in.  It was VERY packed the other day and certain deals allowed you to get 50% off at that time, I think if you spent over a certain amount you would automatically get 50% off....so when I hear this and then I hear 'your total is $187.00' and then I hear "is that with the 50% off?" and then a simple "yes", I am like WHAT!  I could never spend that much on this.  Well let me rephrase that...I would LOVE to be able to do that, but the fact that electricity, food, gas and shelter mean a little more to me right now...lol.  But I was a green eyed monster when I would hear this.  I know jealousy and envy is a bad thing but woooo!  So that is why I am going there today.  Eric is coming with me and I will sweet talk him to death and yea... MUhahahahaha.

I wanted to mention a couple people here my friends Maria from Germany and Claire from Scotland sent me birthday cards.  I received them both yesterday and wanted to share them with you.
This one is from Claire

This one is from Maria who also sent some tea

So thank you both ladies!  They are very much appreciated.

Ok now you're wondering where day 10 is right?  "Christy get to it already!..."  I need help, lol.  So here is my Day 10 for the 31 Days of Halloween

Day 10 of 31 Days of Halloween

The card is 5x7 , created with a yellow card stock base, patterned paper from the Cloud 9 Designs "Seasonal" paper collection.  I stamped the pumpkins with Memento ink onto orange cardstock & then stamped them again onto Neenah paper using StazOn ink and then used watercolor pencils and water. I then popped the water colored image on top of the orange cardstock image to make it 3D.  I used Dear Lizzy Neapolitan "Happy Horizon" paper for the border behind the pumpkins as well for the sentiment.

I know that you might be looking for Day 9, but I skipped over day nine for now.  I wanted to stay on the same day as everyone else.  I may put an extra project in here before the 31st.  I am really going into overdrive here on the apartment front.  We actually put a deposit down yesterday on the one I mentioned the other day.  So for my birthday on Monday Eric and I went to see this GLORIOUS place and fell in love.  Actually seeing the townhome that we would be moving into.  This place is right next to a park and where our particular townhome is we will be directly next to the park....can you say AWESOMENESS!!!! I wanted to tell you all about the floor plan and how big this is compared to where I am now.  First of all where I am now is only 954 Sq Feet, the new place is 1300 sq feet!!!!
The new place (hopefully) will have 2 floors, gigantic living room, private patio as well as a private entrance.  We choose the home on the very end and in the very front because we think it is more private and will hopefully not be very noisy.

Thanks so much for stopping by, take care and be sure to be creative today in some way, shape or form.
See you tomorrow.

What If? Wednesday ***Designer Card Challenge***

Good morning everyone!!!
Today we have another What If? Wednesday Designer Card Challenge for you. I chose the challenge for today and wanted to see what everyone came up with when using a masing technique.
What I decided to do here was to take 2 different stamps; center one stamp and have the other stamp look as if it were peeking in behind and around it on both sides.

The two pumpkin stamps are from Repeat Impressions "Jack0'lantern Cat" #806 & "Tall Pumpkin" #2310 and the "trick or treat" stamp is from Recollections.

I hope you will join in on this week's challenge!
Check out with the other Rock Star's have made to inspire you today...

I want to thank you for stopping by today...take care and find time to do something creative today!

Repeat Impressions Stamp Of The Week

Good morning my fellow crafters...it's time for a Repeat Impressions Stamp Of The Week!!!
This week we are featuring the Maple Leaf Sil stamp (#5127-k). You may have seen a card or two of mine that have has this stamp on them.  That is because it is such a versatile image that you will want to use over and over again.
Stamp # 5127-k

Here is my card that I created this time using this stamp
I wanted to create a Fall like scene so I embossed the leaf over and over again in colors of Copper, Gold, Green, Silver that was mixed with some of the above mentioned colors. There is a tree that I cut from my Cricut machine using the Cricut American Alphabet cartridge.  I wanted something different for the tree which is why it is not your basic traditionally looking tree.
I then used some purple ribbon to accent the entire front base of the card.  I felt this really brought it all together.

This  SOTW is available exclusively to Repeat Impressions
blog readers at 50% OFF with the special discount code from Monday October 8th til Sunday October 14th.  To get the discount code and much more information about the Stamp Of The Week, please visit Repeat Impressions blog - The House That Stamps Built.

31 Days of Halloween - Day 7 ***Smell My Feet***

Hello everyone...hope you're enjoying your Sunday.  I know I am having a great day so far.  Well you could say a great night & day as I haven't been to sleep yet.

Since my birthday is tomorrow and my sister-in-law's birthday is on the 14th we are all going over to my mom's to celebrate them both.  Kristin wasn't able to join us today because she is working a double at work, so she came over last night.  She spent the night and of course laughter was abundant!!!  I have had some hair dye here for a few months of a different color than my natural color of dark brown/black and it got her and I thinking that around 2:30 - 3:00 AM that we should both do our hair...lol.  So since her hair is a little bit lighter than mine hers turned out great...not that mine didn't turn out you just cannot see it as much as you can hers.

Here she is with my once runty turned gargantuan  kitty-bear Giggles while she was in the waiting process

Here are the after pictures for her and I both...

As you can see we both kind of picked the same Auburn-ish color but hers turned out a heck of a lot more auburn and she loves it!  I think she is gorgeous...but I may be biased here.

Now onto day 7 of the 31 Days of Halloween!!!
I just got this stamp from Stamp Your Art Out a couple of days ago and I fell in love with it!  I am sad the reason that I bought it was because they are closing their doors after 21 years of business...very sad.
I wanted to use this stamp to make a non-traditionally colored card.  Here is what I came up with...

The sentiment was created on my computer using my "Artistik" font at size 14 and the witch's feet were colored in using copics.  I have decided that I am going to give this card away today to my sons girlfriend Abby's family.  The reason is because the sentiment fits with something that was so special they did for us this past week.  Abby text me around 10 o'clock one night and said they had received some  extra items (food) from somewhere and asked if we would like anything.  So I said ok and here around 11 o'clock that same night Abby and her mom came over with an entire cooler packed with TONS of food!  I felt...we all felt so blessed by this.  So I thought this would be a cute way to thank them for their over abundant generosity and caring hearts.  I know a small gesture compared to what they did for us, but it's a start.

I hope you like my card for day 7....enjoy your Sunday!

Thank you so much for stopping by, take care and relax today!!!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 5 * Cemetery Gates*

Good morning everyone!  Welcome to Day 5 and let's all welcome FRIDAY!!!!
I am so excited today because Eric (my main squeeze lol) is taking off work all next week for my birthday which is on Monday the 8th.  But he wanted to spend the week with me for it and being off work makes him an even happier camper I'm sure.  So from this evening until Oct 14th he will be here at home with me!

Okay so let's get on with this...
DAY 5
 - Cemetery Gates -
This card was created using my Cricut and the Happy Haunting Cartridge.  It's triple layered with the tombstones, grass and the gates.  I stamped the ghosts, the R.I.P. on the stone and all the bats and skulls.  I also added some cobwebs for extra added effect.
The back ground is actually a wood grained piece of patterned paper but I think turned this way it gives it a new look like fog or mist in the chill of the night.

I hope you like it!

Thank you for stopping by today, take care of yourself and do something crafty & creative this weekend!!!
See you all tomorrow.

31 Days of Halloween - Day 4 *Dominoes*

Good morning everyone! Hope you're all doing well...if not don't fret because Friday is just around the corner...
See, I told ya!

Today I did something different than a card.  I mentioned in an earlier post about the dominoes that I have been trying, so I thought I would create some for Halloween and turn them into magnets!

Here are some closer shots...also, you will notice that in the picture above the Halloween domino is not colored in and this one is
What I did to achieve this was to apply some VersaMark ink and take a Q-tip to dab on some chalk.  Very simple.  But since the VersaMark is so sticky you will want to coat it with some Kylon or something similar.
But wait there's more

I also made 2 other dominoes using rub-on's, chalk and ink
This is the one with a rub-on with some yellow chalk on sun

This is inked and the heart is a rub-on
I also put out a few small Halloween decorations just to add some "spirit" around the place.

Just some small items because hopefully we are moving soon...no we haven't found anything yet but I am hopeful.

Well that's about all I have for today.  Thank you for stopping by, take care and try to find time today to get crafty and messy...it'll make you feel better.
