Repeat Impressions ***Stamp Of The Week***

Good morning everyone!  Welcome to the last day of 2012 and to another Stamp Of The Week here at Repeat Impressions
The stamp this week is called Snow Skating (4714-L)
Here is my card using this stamp:

I have to admit that the metal swirls go perfect with this stamp and it's swirl made by his ice skate.  The card has a black card stock base with a decorative patterned paper of blue/green/white strips on top of that.  Then I used a light blue piece of vellum over the top of the patterned paper.  Spellbinders & my Sizzix Big Shot are what created the scalloped oval.

This stamp is available exclusively to our blog readers at
50% OFF from December 31-January 6 2013 only.(Limited to
1 per person please.) If you would like to purchase this

Some Photos of Craft Room - (still not finished with it)

Happy Friday everyone!  Can you believe this is the last Friday of 2012?  I can't...I was just writing in a journal about how many great things have happened to me in 2012. I am truly grateful for so much.  I did have some not so great times, but the good outweigh the bad by far in my book.

Last night I was looking at the new craft room and wanted to share with you what it looks like so far.  I still have a ton to do in it like hang pictures and those word art pieces I did earlier in the year, I really want to get wall happy in here.  I hate looking at a blank wall anymore.  So I want to create some more things to hang as well as purchase some that I have my eye on.  I still also have totes that need emptying, we have to get back up to Ikea to get a couple new tables (desks) to complete the U-shaped work area that Eric has created for me.  If you image a U with you first walk in the room the top right portion of the U all the way down to the bottom of the U is complete with my printer, some books, computer/monitor, some everyday needed crafting supplies that are handy to get at.  What we are needing is the other two desks to complete this U and so that is why I haven't taken but 2 pics of the desk area.  I want to show you that when it's all completed.
So bear with messiness for a moment but try and see the bigger picture.
First is the back of my door where this hangs

Next is the closet which the door were taken off to allow more room in here.  The two purple organizing units on the outer sides of this with the white labels are where I keep all my stamps - 10 drawers and counting in all.  I have 4 of those paper holders that I got from Michaels, my Sizzix, Texture Boutique, Scor-Pal, tons of paper, some files for card/scrappy ideas, all my Vinyl is up in the purple crate on the top left, all my chip board, mini-albums, completed cards and a few odd & ends are what fill the other totes pictured here.  And the little black cutie pie laying on my sweaters that just stay there now so she'll have a comfy place to lay down on is Jiggles/Peanut...whatever I am in the mood to call her on any given

This is here the top view of the bookshelf directly to the left of the closet.

This is the shelving unit with more of the Michaels storage I have.  Holding more paper, some magazines, binders in the middle are my stamps manager binder, Cricut binder, sketches for cards and scrapbook layouts, my Gypsy is hanging there as you can see on the right top side, the left top side I have so many things hanging there but it is not a catch all - I have things that were given me hanging there and some things from college as well like the red sash that was worn during graduation from University of Cincinnati.

Here is the bottom portion of the U shape I was talking about earlier.  As you can see it faces a window (still need the curtains hung)

Here is a closer look at my carousel with the thing that sits inside it perfectly.  Here is where I keep a lot of the crafting tools and scissors, adhesives, corner rounders etc.

So I hope you liked the room thus far.  Remember like I said there is still so much to be completed but I wanted to share where I am in the whole process.

Take care everyone, I must now go get ready for work (man it feels great to have to say that!). Hope you find time to do something crafty!
Be safe out there!

Repeat Impressions ***What If? Wednesday*** Sketch Challenge

Good morning everyone!  Can you believe Christmas is over?  I know it makes me sad.  I had such a great time visiting with my family though and we all had a great time together.  I hope you were able to do something special too.  I am waiting for the blizzard to hit now.  Cincinnati/parts of Kentucky/parts of Indiana are all effected under these warnings in one way or another until Thursday - Blizzard Warning, Winter Storm Warning and watches. Looovely!  But I won't lie, I absolutely love the snow and cannot wait for it to arrive.  My only concern is of course driving but bigger than that is now Kevin and Kristin both drive to work and school.  So I am really concerned about their ability to maneuver in the slickness of ice and snow covered roads.

So let's think of positive things for now and if you are trapped indoors due to weather then I have just the thing for you, it's another What If? Wednesday here at Repeat Impressions!!!
Today we have a great sketch from Wendy:
This is Sketch #D2612
Here is my take on it:
I had some new paper from Simple Stories and I thought this was just to cute and I also used some Echo Park paper which we all know is my fav!
The stamp I used here is from Repeat Impressions and it is called "Best Gifts" (8615).
I would love to see what you create using this sketch.  Feel free to flip it or turn it!
For even more inspiration hop on over to my fellow Rock Stars and see what they created!

Go on over the Repeat Impressions blog and upload your creation for a chance at a prize!
See you there...

Thank you for stopping by, have a wonderful Wednesday and remember to take some time for yourself today!

Mini Album Using Cricut Mini Books Cartridge + A New Layout

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!  Hope you're doing well and are ready to enjoy the holidays.  Tonight I will be seeing my kiddos and going with them & Eric over to my moms place.  I made Kristin a mini album last night that I think turned out so great and I'm very pleased with it.  I am going to also give this to her tonight. Here are the photos of the completed project:

Now there are a lot more pages in this book beyond what I have shown.  It really turned out nice.  I used so many random pieces of patterned & colored paper which in the end was perfect!  The Mini Books cartridge cut everything out from the cover, to all the pages and even the tags I have in there.  It even cuts the holes in the paper for you.For my adhesive I used the Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
and that was used for the cover on the inside and outside + to adhere all the envelopes and folders together.
This was so incredibly easy AND FUN to create!  If you get a chance try your cartridge out and create your own.  Elegant Edges also has a book feature on there too.  I have not tried this one yet, but I think I will soon since I enjoyed this first one so much.

The other day I also made a new layout.  There is not a lot to this layout and I have my reasons for that, but the lack of luster was on purpose...
This was taken at East Fork Lake here in Cincinnati and was right at the beginning when Eric and I started to date.  He is the king of goofy faces lol.  We will now be spending our third Christmas together and we couldn't be happier!
This was our first Christmas!  Isn't he adorable?!

So the new job although it's only been a week now is going great.  Friday we had a little Christmas lunch together.  It was the 2 guys who do the maintenance for both properties, Wendy and myself.  I made everyone a card and also gave Wendy a Birthday Calendar that I made.  Wendy gave me this:

Not to mention 2 other full boxes of homemade cookies!!!  Can you read what the cocoa mixture says?  It's to cute.  She handmade everything right down the the candy, mmmm!
I really think I'm going to excel in this new position, I just have this feeling of overwhelming joy & satisfaction when I am there.  Saturday I was there alone, I will be there always on Saturdays by myself.  So I showed 2 people some apartments on both properties and they went very well.  I was able to do everything I needed to do and handled it.  I was able to call Wendy if I needed her for anything which I did a couple of times for things that I had no information on.  It's nice that she lives on site in case I need her for anything major.   I go in again this week for two days alone as well.  It just feels right to me...

Well I am going to stop here for now.  I truly wish you all a joyous holiday from my family to all of you and yours.  Please be safe out there, no drinking and driving, stay warm, cozy and most of all...jolly!

Merry Christmas!
