What A Day!!!

Good afternoon everyone!  Hope your day is going well.  I have had the most excellent & productive two days now. For starters, Boogers is home now and recouping as is my little Peanut.  They did a great job on both my babies I am very grateful to OAR {Ohio Alleycat Resource} for their kindness and service they do for cats in the Greater Cincinnati area.
I have been busy working on some samples to take to the Michael's in Mason tonight when I meet with my other CEM for the first time.  Here are some of the things I have ready

plus the cards I showed you the other day with the butterfly and Thank You on them.

It was a great mail day for me as well.  I got my May kit from Scrapbooking From The Inside Out today and OMG!  This kit is uber-amazing! Look at some of the things in it

And there is a whole bag of embellies that I didn't photograph...so you see there is so much in here!  I love this whole kit.  Cannot wait until I dig into it.

I also got some stamps in the mail today from Peachy Keen Stamps.  I got the Everyday Character Face Assortment set.  In here there are 31 different face stamps.  I cannot wait to use these with my Cricut designs.

I think that is about it folks, I hope you have a wonderful day and I will be back soon.  Thank you again for stopping by, I always love to have you.  Wish me luck tonight at the new store.

I have been scrappin' & a funny pic!

Hello my crafty friends!  It is a "lovely" rainy day here in Cincinnati.  I am enjoying it however because it is very soothing to me.  I am just worried the power will go out.  Then I won't be to happy because I won't have any light to work in today.  That is my goal for this afternoon is to scrapbook some pages.  I have re-joined Scrapbooking From The Inside Out and I am so glad I did to!  I have missed the women who make SFTIO so special and close.  If you are looking for a scrapbooking community to join as well as some very awesome monthly kits, then click on the this link or their name above.
This months kit is the Grace kit and I cannot wait to dive into it today.  There are 2 challenges up already so I have plenty to keep me busy.
Last months kit was the Dream kit and here are some of the layouts that I created for the challenges:

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you all have a crafty day!

I wanted to share this funny saying with you as I am sure a lot of you will find this true at certain times in your life as I do...
Have a GREAT day!!!

Some of my favorite scrapbook pages that I've created of all time: What I would choose if I were only allowed to keep a small number of pages.

Well in keeping with the spirit of trying to keep up with the Blogging For Scrapbookers daily idea list, I have already missed one day; and it hasn't even been a week yet!  However, in my defense yesterday's thing to do was to  "Create something sparkly and share it on your blog", I tried to create diamonds by rubbing some coal together but didn't work, so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

So today I am back on track...What I am going to do is share some of my most favorite scrapbook pages that I have created.  A lot of these pages that I am going to share with you were created when I belonged to a group that dealt with "emotional scrapbooking".  A great group, there is a link to it on my blog here "Scrapbooking From The Inside Out".  Anyway, every month there would be a theme of some emotion/feeling/goal, you name it they have it covered.

So join me on my trip through scrapbooking memory lane as I share some of my favorite pages with you.

This first grouping is a double LO of JUST ME, it was a challenge for another group I belong to and this was created in November of 2009.  The challenge was to create a double LO all about yourself.  So this is why I chose this one to come first in my stroll down scrapbook memory lane.
I was just learning how to use flock at the time and had also purchased the Doodle Bug glitter that you rub into the glue and all the glitter you see here is self induced! LoL!

All the rest of these scrapbook LO's are from challenges from the group I had mentioned, Scrapbooking From The Inside Out.
For many of the LO's that you will see coming up, I cannot remember what the exact challenge was, but will do my best to explain the LO to you.

This LO is entitled "In My World...Anythings Possible".  It has hidden journaling which basically says at this time of my life I sat and thought about myself and what I could attain and do with my life from that point onward.  I wrote that I know I am genuinely an optimistic person and that if I put my mind to something and work hard at it, and just simply believe in myself, anything is possible.

This LO here was for a Cyber-Crop we had on SFTIO on a day called "Madly In Love With Me Day".  I remember this challenge was to show I think how we felt about our bodies and well as you can see, I didn't think to highly of mine at the time. The LO is entitled "Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired"   (sorry about the blurry pic, but this was not taken with my camera and the camera I used just didn't like me).

I really LOVE this LO because it talks about the first time I felt Kevin move inside me when I was pregnant.  The challenge I actually remember, we had to put on the LO somewhere something that opens and closes, which is where the open and closed eyes pic comes into play.  The Student Bible pictured in the LO was what I was reading at the time and had it rested on my pregnant belly when all the sudden "POP" he moved!  It was one of  the most precious moments of my life.
That's why I called this "Peace Movement" because I was at such peace with everything when he moved and even more so after the fact.

This LO is all about my mom!  In this challenge we had to use a floral them and I may have went overboard a bit on the flower embellishments, but hey, it's my mom and she's worth all the flowers in the world!

This LO is obviously devoted to my kiddo's Kevin and Kristin who are my world!

This LO also has hidden journaling but I will give your the gist of what it is about.  The LO itself is called "Never Again".  This pic of me was taken last year, but this situation was something that I went through when I was 24. I was young and thought that this guy pictured here, Adam, was just "IT".  Well the relationship didn't last to terribly long, but long enough for him to steal from me, cheat on me and in the process getting the other girl pregnant, but I stayed with him because at that time I felt I deserved no better.  I felt my worth was 0!  Then one day, I looked over at him, it was like a bolt of lightening had stuck me or something, but I looked at him and almost to this exact wording I told him that I deserve better than this, better than him and the way he had treated me.  It was that day that I learned to create boundaries for myself and to FINALLY realize that I am worth way more than this loser was ever going to amount to.  So if ya think about it, it was actually maybe a blessing in disguise that I met him, or else I may not have met the person I am today for taking a stand for myself.

OK, LAST ONE, I PROMISE!  He he!

This LO is another challenge from the cyber-crop we had, I actually won this particular challenge and was VERY happy about that!
This was a sketch challenge and the host of the crop created this particular sketch and viola, here it is.  I had to name it "Madly in Love With Me" because how can one celebrate Madly In Love With Me Day while having a cyber-crop and not name at least ONE LO that. LoL!

Well I surely hope that I didn't bore you to tears and that you liked some of my pages.  I just started to scrapbook when I joined SFTIO which was how I learned what I know today.

So let me know what you think, I would love to hear what you thought of my post today!
You all take care!

My lack of patience, the phone charger, and Suzie's advice...

Have you ever had one of those days where you just knew your gut instinct was dead on? That you were so right about the situation and you knew it all and nothing or noone could tell you different. Ever have one where you thought that and you were dead OFF? Well that was me this past week with Jeff. Yes, we have officially had our first fight over something soooo stupid and small, and I even went to the lenght of telling him that it was over between us. WOW!!! Christy, what a fool you made of yourself! Let me tell you all that happened:
It was this past Wednesday, the day before Gobble Day (as I have officially dubbed it). Jeff came down on Tues. as planned and talked about how his mom wanted to see him during the holiday, which I can completely understand. So Weds. afternoon around 2:30 Jeff said he was going to goto KY. to see his family which was about 45-60 minutes away from my place here in Ohio. 'I'll be back around 6-6:30 and we will go out to dinner then...blah blah blah'. Again, I have absolutely no quams with this at all, I was all for it. So 6 comes and theres no word from Jeff, 6:30...still no word. I didn't hear from him until 12:40AM that night. Needless to say Christy was a wee bit worried and ticked-off as well. When he contacted me, he merely text me, no phone call. He said he would call me when he got to his grandmothers place where everyone was meeting up at. (I must back-track...he said his grandma was in hospital and had a stroke. He was not thinking straight and that was his reason for not calling me.) So he text "I will call when I get there", no call was ever made nor received. Again, Christy was none too happy.
So the next day, after I was up the whole night wondering what was going on with Jeff and I, I decided to text him and ask what his plans were for the day...no response. I called, no answer. So my mind is of course going EVERYWHERE WRONG & EVIL at this point. Who is he really with, what's really going on? Blah blah blah!?!? So I text him and said forget it, we are done. Still no responce even from that, which I was shocked alittle at.
I ended up spendind Gobble Day alone, which is what I really wanted. I was in no shape to face family, I was to angry and sad. I didn't want to be a downer on their day.
So in the middle of the night again around 11 or 12 that same evening, Jeff text me and we were able to communicate some. I do not like to do these sort of things over text, its silly to me to do that. He wouldn't call me still, but he was texting me continually for about 45 mins to an hour or so. I felt some better, he and I made up as best a couple can through texting.
He called the next morning and his voice was so good to hear and we talked more and now things are back to normal. I will get to see my sweetie tomorrow (Tues 12-1-09) for the first time since all this happened and I can't wait to just get a huge bear hug from him.

Now...the phone charger, lol...well, you see he kinda left that here and I threw it away. No biggie right? Yeah that's what I thought, I figured he won't be coming back here so he won't need this anymore, it's trash, its gone. So I'm talking to Suzie a little after I pitched the charger and she asked me "Did you cut it up?", "NO! But what a great idea!" So yea, I am buying him a NEW WHOLE charger now as I type (Tami is getting it for me with my $). LOL!!!

So that is what happened to me over my Holiday. It was horrible. If I had MORE PATIENCE IN ME, none of this would have happened. I really need to learn how to practice patience. Anyone have any advice on that they could tell me? As you read, I need it. I could have lost something great, possibly the best thing in my life (man wise).

Challenges from SFTIO

The one group that I have belonged to the longest and have participated in the most is Scrapbooking From The Inside Out (SFTIO). There are two links to this kit club on my blog main page.
What I love about this group so much and why I have stayed an active member for close to a year now (3/09 is when I joined), is the women involved and their caring and ever readiness to help, listen, console, share, etc. in EVERYTHING that is going on in someones life. No matter how small or big, these ladies are here for me and I love them dearly. I have never met any of them personally but we are all so active on the message boards that I feel I know them well and they know me.
My involvement in this group is my favorite thing to do by far on the internet and off the net (to scrapbook the challenges of the group of course! lol).
Each month we cover a different emotion/topic and this month we are working on "Generosity". Below is the first challenge that I have completed. The link should take you directly to the challenge.
