Organization Anyone?

Organization Anyone?

I have been on a mission to completely organize my supplies.  Because we all know allto well that if we cannot see it, we don't use it. Well typically we don't.  I have decided that I am going to do all my stamps on Evernote.  I use to stamp every single stamp in a set or however it came, give it a home in my Totally Tiffany pages on my ScrapRack.  Now I will still put everything in it's place in the scrap rack and use the same system except  now it should go faster since going forward I will not have to stamp everything.  I simply look up the stamp set and get a photo of it, title the set using the location first and then the title of the set and so on.  I have already got a lot of the stamp set photos and then I just need to put them into the Evernote system.  While I admmit, I do like stamping everything because it gives me an idea of how it will stamp or even it its a good one to use.  But this will be so much faster and I will have more time to play and create vs working on this project which has taken years so far and I am not done with logging everything.  I have most, but not all.  At least nothing  that I have purchased lately.
I fully intend on doing this with my metal dies.  I seem to have more and more of those and buy duplicates.  It will be nice to havea it all done!  I will also do this with m,y inks, stencils,  Copic Markers, paints, and any othger medium I use on   the regular. Some things it wouldn't really be useful for l,ike embellishments since those are normally a one and done.  But I will see.

I was look at my blog last night and just remember allthe projects I would make and post about, all the design teams I was on along with joining in on challenges.  I would really LOVE to get back into a routine of doing things like this.  I will admit that I still am not in a place where I was years ago and still feel the loss of my mom from Aug 2021.  I get down  a lot more and mope about and hgave little to no interest in crafting.  So i think that by doing this, I get to see all my things I own and see how fun they were to create with.  i need to get back to that place where I truly enjoy crafting again.  I have been thinking about getting back more into scrapbooking which is where I started oh so long ago.  But I have been wanting to try some mixed media/art journaling too. I think that would be a lot of fun, to just let it go and see where it takes me.

Some other fun news is that I made several sales on my etsy account lately. It's not a lot but I had 4 in 3 days and I was just tickled to death with that!  I need to make more of my birthday calendars. That seems to sell the most.  I want to make more magnets too.  I bought a lot of the items needed to create a bunch but I slipped into a funk and that was that. If I keep at it and just don't give in to the sadness maybe I can havea good crafting year.  I purchased a nice canapy to use at craft shows last year, I'd like to be able to use it this year.  I am learning more on my Cricut Maker so that is a lot of fun. I can make Iron-on's, wreaths using vinyl, leather items like jewelry and Keychains. I havethe cricut cup maker and i LOVE making cups! It just takes the time on my part to continue to learn it. To keep at it. To want it. To do it.

Maybe I am writing this all downfor all to see so that I will hold myself accountable in these endeavors I want to accomplish. I bought some planners, yes that is plural.  I got some from Erin Condrin and I love all her stuff, let's make this the year I actually use it all the year through! I got another planner from....I can't remember the name of it but I'll post it when I am home and can get that information.  But I got that planner because it's one you can color in and I'm going to make that my craft planner. I also got a planner on my tablet off etsy. It's for people who have ADHD, which I have.so it helps a lot with that too.

I am going to end it here. My lunch break is now over. I will post more about how everything is coming along. I do have more crafts to upload, so I'll do that In my next post.

I hope you do something crafty today!

I love it!!! Take a looksy!

Happy Saturday to you all!  It's National Scrapbooking Day ~ Are you all being crafty today?  I have been busting my butt trying to get this room organized and I am to a point now that I can actually stop for a bit and craft for the rest of the night...ahhh.  Craft where I won't feel guilty for being in a messy unorganized craft room that was totally hindering my crafty mojo.
So I want to show you what a part of the room looks like...Eric and I did venture out again and got 2 more cubes ... well we got three actually.  We were looking for those rounded corner shelves but they are being discontinued at Michael's anyway, but we did find one and they only charged us $2.99 for the floor model they had. Now you can't beat that.  So in the picture I am going to show you, the two cubes on the very top are the ones we picked up last night. I am also showing you some of the drawers inside view like my Cricut drawer.  Funny how I see all these different things on organizing the carts and booklets and all I had to do is use a drawer and but in alphabetical order.  I have an two empty drawers as well that I will use one more for them.  Right now I have I believe 43 booklets but I have 49 carts.  They fit well in here. The last picture here with the two purple/pink storage towers are all my stamps.  Rubber, cling, acrylic, etc.

I also did something today that I never thought I would do.  I bought my first ever Spellbinders item.  No I do not have the Grand Caliber or any of their machines/tools since I just found out that my Sizzix Big Shot can do everything the Caliber does.  I tried it out the other day with some Nestabilities that we are going to demo tomorrow at work.  I wanted to make sure I could do the demo and when I found out how easy it is, I was pleased as punch! Not sure what that expression really means...I mean how pleased can punch really be?   So since today was the last day of me getting to use my 40% off all items including sale items I got this

The embossing pads I bought those on Thursday because I knew I was going to get one.  I wasn't sure which one I wanted.  I just know that I do  not often by punched unless they are border punches.  I mean I have the Cricut which can cut anything I desire. But I was getting tired of not having a circle punch and the "correct" size circle punch would not be easy for me to purchase since I love to shadow a lot of things and layer, buying only  one punch would have been a waste of my money.  So that is why and how I came to choose this circle Nestabilities for the first purchase. I honestly have to say that being able to get 7 dies that can be embossed and cut and also used as stencils is very nice. So tomorrow there is a Make It and Take It at all the Michael's using the Spellbinders and today we actually got the Grand Caliber in.  Soooo I will get to play with that tomorrow too, cannot wait.
Here is a card that I made for the Make It Take It today for the kiddos to use as a demonstration for what they were to make.  I actually  made mine here at home and it turned out to be pretty cute.  The "directions" did not call for the butterfly to be popped out, but I thought it would be neat to do that.  So I did and some of the kids liked that idea and did that too.
Eric and his brother James are out to the movies to see The Avengers.  I was supposed to go but I just wanted to come home and come into this almost neat, organized and roomy craft room and not clean it or "work on it"...noooo I want to "work IN it and CREATE" tonight. That is my goal.
I hope you all have a super weekend.  I do hope you're all having a great NSD...I know I am about to.

Take care and again, thank you for stopping by!

Organize Your Scraps and Rejuvenate Your Mojo!

Good morning everyone!
Hope this day brings you lots of beautiful sunshine and great weather.  I am organizing today as well as last night.  I am taking direct motivation from Sandy Allnock from Operation Write Home.  Here is a link to her post she made on Earth Day about recycling and consolidating your paper stash.  When you go to this link be sure you click on the video she has on her blog because there is where she talks about how to clean up your messy stash!
So far I have had two garbage bags almost full of useless or unwanted paper.  Paper that was literally the first I ever bought!  Along with some very very questionable {ugly} paper and I have to think what in the world was I thinking when I bought it!  I also filled up a fairly large tote of paper that I am "donating" but not really to anyone...okay let me explain that.  Since I am doing these card classes at the Mt. Pleasant Retirement Home and I am making all the card kits, I am "donating" some of my old or unwanted stash to these classes.  Now this paper is not ugly or anything, I just felt like donating some.
Speaking of the Mt. P classes; I created another kits for another card.  The picture here shows my purple curtains in my craft room...I love them!  Anywho here is the card aptly called ~God Loves You~
I hope you all enjoy your day and have a great Tuesday!  Remember to check out that link and become clutter-free in the month of May!  I sure am trying to do this. Take care and thank you for stopping by!
