I Have Returned!

Wow this feels great and weird at the same time...I mean it's only been since November since I have posted anything here.
Lots to tell you, so let's get started!

The Instructor position is going great!  I am currently teaching my 3rd class which is a 4 week class on scrapbooking.  The people I work with are wonderful and I just love that I get to work in a field that is all about creativity, art, fun, learning and sharing it with others.  I am learning so much from working here, I am not just talking about paper crafts either, but I am learning about all types of crafts and getting all kinds of great new ideas to try out.

Since I last wrote here Kevin and Kristin both had huge birthdays.  Kevin turned 20 and Kristin turned 18.  Both have since received their drivers license and their dad (my ex-husband) bought them a used car to share which was nice.  When celebrating their B-Day's here at my place getting a picture was well...interesting.  Kristin decided that there would be no serious picture of the two of them on this day.  Which was funny.
In the picture here Kevin thought Kristin said to close eyes and she had said cross eyes.  Either way...still goofy.  And what do you think of Kristin's new hair color?  She had just dyed it an auburn reddish color a few days before this was taken.  I love it!

Something else that I want to share with you that I feel is most likely the best part of this post.  I have started to get involved with my church.  Well let me restate that...I have started going to church.  This is probably the first time in my life that I have WANTED to do this and be active in the church.  I am attending the Vineyard here in Cincinnati, Ohio and I have also joined a couple of groups, met some very nice women who I hope to one day call true friends.  I was raised in a Catholic home and went to the schools and all that went with it but never really felt I knew God.  Well that is what this Spiritual Journey is about that I am on and I hope to know the true God, the loving and caring one that I hear so often.

So that is what has been going on with me in the last three months.  I have been so very busy with everything.  I want to start to post more regularly here again.

Take care everyone I have missed you all.  Thank you for stopping by!

Positive Journey ~ Day 2 + I am getting a new car!!!

Good Evening everyone!!!
I have some WONDERFUL NEWS to share with you all and it goes with today's Positive note all to well!
I will first show you the Positive Note in this journey first:
Also remember that I am not going to decorate these all and they all will not be masterpieces.  It is the message that I am focusing on here.  The creativity will come.
So the reason why this is just a great message for today is this...I was at Eric's cousin Stephanie baby shower this afternoon when I got a call from my mom.  She told me that a friend of hers is GIVING me her car...for FREE!  Yes you read that correctly.  I am told it is a Volkswagen Passat GLS station wagon in excellent condition.  Here is a picture from the web that I found:
Not only is it in excellent condition I am told it has electric everything on the inside which is a definite plus AND when I start to teach in January I will now have the extra room to bring both my Cricut Expression, Cricut Expression 2, my Sizzix and all the supplies I will need without having to figure out where to put it all in my car!
So this truly has been a GREAT day with GREAT news and wonderful giving people.
The friend of my mom who this is coming from has come into a newer vehicle by surprise which is why she is getting rid of it.  My mom said to me a few minutes ago that her friend actually missed driving it...LoL!

Thank you all for stopping by!  I will have my Day 16 of the 31 Days of Halloween up soon...It has just been a very busy day and I was drop dead tired last night.
So I will see you soon.

I am back & feeling sooo much better!

Hello dear friends and followers, how I have missed this little blog of mine and all of you.  I want to thank so many people who have helped me out with inspiring messages of hope and for the cards to get well that were sent, and for all your prayers.  I have been getting better and better and I guess it was just time that would take care of me.  I started to take my medicine, talked to my doctor who increased a pill and am now back seeing my therapist on a regular basis.  I was so low there even after I left my last post that I just wanted to die. Honestly I would go to bed and write out my suicide note in my head.  My thoughts of leaving my kids like that was my reason for living.  I could never do that to them or to my family and Eric, and my friends.  So I just wanted to start out this post with the fact that I am doing soooo much better and God willing I will not feel this way again.

I am back to crafting again and I love it again! Thank God about that one.  I don't know what I would do without crafting in my life.  I told my psychiatrist that I was on the verge of selling all my supplies and even the thought of looking at a crafty item was just hard to do.  I have been creating again and getting back to my "normal" life.  I have a new card for the Hodge Podge Shop I just have to take the pictures and post.  I was asked to be on their Design Team and I had only created one card and have been on the DL until now with them.  So I want to thank my DT sisters and Shelley the owner of Hodge Podge for your patience with me getting better, you're all great and talented women and very supportive!  {Huggles} to you all!  The group PBS_Swappers is in the middle of a couple swaps now.  I have created a bookmark; my first one ever to be honest, for the Winter Themed Bookmark swap.  I have a Secret Sister on another group I belong to.  I received a card from her today along with a quote she sent to me, I plan on doing something with that quote and placing it somewhere that I will always see it.  When I get that completed I will post a picture of it.  I don't know anything about my secret pal other than I believe she is in Europe somewhere, but that is all I know.  I like the surprise part of it though.  I won't know who she is until next October!  Wow!  That's a long time to wait to find out someones identity...but I am patient.

Something else that I wanted to share was that I recently bought a new Cricut Expression which came in a WONDERFUL bundle with the Your Story.  With those two great machines came 4 cartridges for the Cricut, 10 markers for the Cricut, and 8 books with teh Your Story, 58 laminating sheets, 3 digital downloads, and geez lots more!  I am selling my Slice Machine now that I have this.  I just listed it on Craigslist tonight, wish me luck on selling it.

Well here are a couple of picks for you, the first is the card I received today from my secret pal, and then the bookmark I created.  The bookmark has cardinals on it and blue inked vellum snowflakes.

I will be posting again in a day or so with  my Hodge Podge Shop design.  So stay tuned.  Again, to everyone who talked to me, emailed me, sent cards, kept me in your prayers, etc.  I have nothing but sheer gratitude for you all.  You are all a true blessing and I am lucky to have you all in my life.

If I could see one thing in the future...answer one question of what will happen...what would I choose?

This one here took me a while to think about, in fact I thought of so many things that I would like to see in the future that I am going to cheat a bit on this and name more than the one than the question asks.

For the longest time I was afraid of the future, the uncertainty of what will happen to my kids, my family, my self, and all of humanity.  With the year 2012 looming over our heads and all the hype that this infamous year has attained, I will admit that sometimes I honestly cannot see past it.  There was a time years ago that when I use to blog on MySpace quite frequently, I wrote a very disturbing rant about my fear of "the end", and eventually deleted it.  I sounded like quite the loony bird and people who read it most likely thought I should have been put away. LoL!  Now a days I will admit that I am still nervous about the date December 21, 2012 but just not in a way I was years ago.  It seems that most of the newer movies are dealing with post-Apocalypse issues and have men and women fighting, pillaging, and for God sakes even eating one another.  I really don't like these movies for those reasons.  I hate to think of humanity slithering down to such low morals {if any at all} in the future.

So what I have decided to do here is name a few things that I would like to see in the future; both near future and beyond.  I feel that most people have good in them and most have good intentions in their hearts, and that is what I based these ideas on.

I would like to see the world come together as one, to not have any racism or hatred towards one another.  To have countries at peace, not war.  To have us all united as one.  The Beatles said it best "All You Need Is Love".

I see in the future for myself a better understand and closer relationship with God.  I want this so bad, I need this.  I know that with all the resources out there this will eventually happen.  I pray for that day to be filled with this completeness of His Love.

I see that all religions will come together and there will be no more "religious" wars over who is right and who is wrong.  Over whose God is the correct one or false one.  I see that we will all learn to love God and be free to worship how we feel to be the best for us to get closer to Him.

I look forward to the future with my family and friends and knowing that we will always be together and stick by one another no matter what.  I look to the future with a life with my boyfriend Eric and trust and pray we will be together to a very long time.  I look forward to happier times in my life and more opportunity's to share in good times with others.

This is how I see the future...how do you see it?
