What If? Wednesday ***Designer Card Challenge***

Good morning everyone!!!
Today we have another What If? Wednesday Designer Card Challenge for you. I chose the challenge for today and wanted to see what everyone came up with when using a masing technique.
What I decided to do here was to take 2 different stamps; center one stamp and have the other stamp look as if it were peeking in behind and around it on both sides.

The two pumpkin stamps are from Repeat Impressions "Jack0'lantern Cat" #806 & "Tall Pumpkin" #2310 and the "trick or treat" stamp is from Recollections.

I hope you will join in on this week's challenge!
Check out with the other Rock Star's have made to inspire you today...

I want to thank you for stopping by today...take care and find time to do something creative today!

Repeat Impressions Stamp Of The Week

Good morning my fellow crafters...it's time for a Repeat Impressions Stamp Of The Week!!!
This week we are featuring the Maple Leaf Sil stamp (#5127-k). You may have seen a card or two of mine that have has this stamp on them.  That is because it is such a versatile image that you will want to use over and over again.
Stamp # 5127-k

Here is my card that I created this time using this stamp
I wanted to create a Fall like scene so I embossed the leaf over and over again in colors of Copper, Gold, Green, Silver that was mixed with some of the above mentioned colors. There is a tree that I cut from my Cricut machine using the Cricut American Alphabet cartridge.  I wanted something different for the tree which is why it is not your basic traditionally looking tree.
I then used some purple ribbon to accent the entire front base of the card.  I felt this really brought it all together.

This  SOTW is available exclusively to Repeat Impressions

31 Days of Halloween - Day 7 ***Smell My Feet***

Hello everyone...hope you're enjoying your Sunday.  I know I am having a great day so far.  Well you could say a great night & day as I haven't been to sleep yet.

Since my birthday is tomorrow and my sister-in-law's birthday is on the 14th we are all going over to my mom's to celebrate them both.  Kristin wasn't able to join us today because she is working a double at work, so she came over last night.  She spent the night and of course laughter was abundant!!!  I have had some hair dye here for a few months of a different color than my natural color of dark brown/black and it got her and I thinking that around 2:30 - 3:00 AM that we should both do our hair...lol.  So since her hair is a little bit lighter than mine hers turned out great...not that mine didn't turn out you just cannot see it as much as you can hers.

Here she is with my once runty turned gargantuan  kitty-bear Giggles while she was in the waiting process

Here are the after pictures for her and I both...

As you can see we both kind of picked the same Auburn-ish color but hers turned out a heck of a lot more auburn and she loves it!  I think she is gorgeous...but I may be biased here.

Now onto day 7 of the 31 Days of Halloween!!!
I just got this stamp from Stamp Your Art Out a couple of days ago and I fell in love with it!  I am sad the reason that I bought it was because they are closing their doors after 21 years of business...very sad.
I wanted to use this stamp to make a non-traditionally colored card.  Here is what I came up with...

The sentiment was created on my computer using my "Artistik" font at size 14 and the witch's feet were colored in using copics.  I have decided that I am going to give this card away today to my sons girlfriend Abby's family.  The reason is because the sentiment fits with something that was so special they did for us this past week.  Abby text me around 10 o'clock one night and said they had received some  extra items (food) from somewhere and asked if we would like anything.  So I said ok and here around 11 o'clock that same night Abby and her mom came over with an entire cooler packed with TONS of food!  I felt...we all felt so blessed by this.  So I thought this would be a cute way to thank them for their over abundant generosity and caring hearts.  I know a small gesture compared to what they did for us, but it's a start.

I hope you like my card for day 7....enjoy your Sunday!

Thank you so much for stopping by, take care and relax today!!!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 5 * Cemetery Gates*

Good morning everyone!  Welcome to Day 5 and let's all welcome FRIDAY!!!!
I am so excited today because Eric (my main squeeze lol) is taking off work all next week for my birthday which is on Monday the 8th.  But he wanted to spend the week with me for it and being off work makes him an even happier camper I'm sure.  So from this evening until Oct 14th he will be here at home with me!

Okay so let's get on with this...
DAY 5
 - Cemetery Gates -
This card was created using my Cricut and the Happy Haunting Cartridge.  It's triple layered with the tombstones, grass and the gates.  I stamped the ghosts, the R.I.P. on the stone and all the bats and skulls.  I also added some cobwebs for extra added effect.
The back ground is actually a wood grained piece of patterned paper but I think turned this way it gives it a new look like fog or mist in the chill of the night.

I hope you like it!

Thank you for stopping by today, take care of yourself and do something crafty & creative this weekend!!!
See you all tomorrow.

Repeat Impressions - What If? Wednesday!!! Sketch Challenge

Good morning and happy What If? Wednesday to you all!!!  It rained here all day yesterday and was so icky out; I hope today brings something a bit brighter to the Cincinnati area.

Today we have a new sketch from Wendy for the challenge...Sketch #0312

Here is my take on this creative sketch...

I used Pink Paislee  London collection and some Websters paper.  I used the stamp "Best Gifts" - 8615 from Repeat Impressions. The dots are Flamingo Liquid Pearls, ribbon I am not sure of the manufacturer, the scalloped circle from punch and the inner circle from Spellbinders Standard Circles (large).  What I also did to accent this was to take a glitter pen and highlight the roses in the paper as well as around the scallops.
Please stop by the rest of the Rock Stars and see what they came up with for this sketch!

I do hope you play along in this challenge - I cannot wait to see what you come up with.

Thank you so much for stopping by, take care and take some time to do something fun & creative for yourself today!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 3

Happy Hump-Day to you all!  Welcome to Day Three of the 31 Days of Halloween from Smeared Ink. Today what I created was from a sketch that is from a Repeat Impressions What If? Wednesday challenge. So you may recognize the sketch but the card is new.

Paper is from BoBunny and We R Memory Keepers Spooksville paper pack.  The stamps are all from Recollections & Studio G.  They were stamped with Memento black ink and colored in with some Copic markers. I used a white gel pen to accent the scalloped oval and around the half-circle. All the bats are up on foam adhesive to add some dimension.

I hope you like today's card...Thank you for stopping by, take care and I will see you tomorrow...!!!

New Card For Let's Make Greeting Cards & Altered Tin To Put Your Keys In

Hello everyone!  I wanted to share with you the first of four cards that I will be sharing during this week.  This is a card that I created for Let's Make Greeting Cards Design Team.
Summer Card
This is a View Finder card that has four different views when you turn the notched dial of Summer related items.  Here is what the notched card stock looked like before I placed it into my card.
So you will see each one of these as you turn the dial.
For my tutorial of this card please click on the link to be taken there in another window.  Also while you're at the Let's Make Greeting Cards site, please check out the rest of the Design Team members creations and tutorials; they are outstanding!

Altered Tin For Your Keys
We got a small new table today from a yard sale.  I want to keep it clear of clutter and not just another place to rest things on.  I knew we all needed a place to put our keys when we walk in the door & thought that this table would be a wonderful place to put a little tin for them.

Materials I used are:

Here is what the tin looked like when I started

I took the Gesso & applied it to the top portion of the tin and the very bottom of the tin which is where I was going to paint

I used the paint on the top and bottom areas

Then take the two pieces of patterned paper and use Mod Podge to apply them to the tin.  Doing so by centering the papers at the center of the longer sides and wrapping around to the smaller ends.  After the paper dried I used the Polycrylic to add some shine and seal it.
I wanted to add a little more to this but not to much and found this perfect piece of off-white lace
Here is my final project on the new table

I hope you like this project and my It's Summer card.
I will have more soon to show you.

Take care and thank you so very much for stopping by today!
