Computer issues out of no where!

Good Afternoon everyone...I have some ucky news now, I went to turn on my computer this morning and nothing...It wouldn't turn on at all.  I see a blinking light in the back so I am unsure what is the problem.  I am currently at my moms place on her computer.  With out my computer at home I will have to put on hold my daily updates with the 31 Days of Halloween and the Positive Journey.  Eric said that I should possibly buy some canned air and see if that will help it.  I hope so because I have everything on that computer and I will be devastated if I lose it all.  So please keep your fingers crossed that it can be fixed and that it is something minor. I will write more later on if I can and try and post the days projects.

Scrapbooking & Stamping at the Middletown Art Center will officially begin on January 6, 2012.

Scrapbooking & Stamping at the Middletown Art Center will officially begin on January 6, 2012.
I would love for anyone who is interested in these classes/sessions to please contact myself or the Middletown Art Center for more information. First session runs 7 weeks and we will be offering two different class times; Fridays 10-noon and Saturdays 10-noon.
Pass the word around if you could please about these classes for anyone you know that is or has ever mentioned the interest in learning to scrapbook and/or stamp.
This is not just a class, but also a time for students who are not beginners an opportunity to learn new and exciting techniques using all types of mediums. Very fun times ahead at the Middletown Art Center. I know I for one am VERY excited about being a new instructor there.

31 Days Of Halloween ~ Day 17!!!

Today I created a tag for day 17.

I do not make many tags and I am also entering this into The Best Witches Challenge.

I used several distress inks:Vintage Photo, Worn Lipstick, Rusty Hinge and Walnut Stain. The paper is from Webster's Triple Collection Pack ~Spring Market, Yacht Club & Country Estate.  The two banners are from Cathies Parties blog which is the blog having the challenge as well. The stings I got from a friend who lives in Ireland, she sent some fibers to me and I have been wanting to use them and finally got a chance! The design swirly image on the actual tag itself is the stamped image for this  project.

Positive Journey ~ Day 3

Do not ever forget that you are unique and no one out there is like you.  You are your own person who has a unique set of talents, values, morals, thoughts, passions, dreams and so much more.

We all have a place here and we all have a purpose, sometimes finding those can be rough and hard at times and not quite understood; but eventually we will all come to know that no matter what the reason we are here we will make an impact to others because of all of our unique traits and differences.

Isn't that wonderful!  I think so and I hope you realize all this too! 

31 Days Of Halloween ~ Day 16!!!

When you see this card for day 16, you will see why it took me all night to do!  OK...well actually you won't see all the reasons why it took me all night.  I started out doing something a little different and I still may use what I made last night on something else.

Anyway, what I did with this particular card was to stamp a bunch of pumpkins using a Stampin' Up stamp {I do not know what collection it is from ~ sorry} and then I used my Twinkling H20's and Pentel Water Brush and colored them all in.  Then I printed out Happy Halloween on some VERY VERY HEAVY card stock, put holes all throughout it and took some yellow Bakers Twine from The Twinery and sewed it all in the punched out holes.  My fingers hate me right now, but I hope you like it.

And yes you ARE supposed to see the black of the printed out word...my intention was not to hide it completely but just to hopefully enhance it a bit.

Positive Journey ~ Day 2 + I am getting a new car!!!

Good Evening everyone!!!

I have some WONDERFUL NEWS to share with you all and it goes with today's Positive note all to well!

I will first show you the Positive Note in this journey first:

Also remember that I am not going to decorate these all and they all will not be masterpieces.  It is the message that I am focusing on here.  The creativity will come.

So the reason why this is just a great message for today is this...I was at Eric's cousin Stephanie baby shower this afternoon when I got a call from my mom.  She told me that a friend of hers is GIVING me her car...for FREE!  Yes you read that correctly.  I am told it is a Volkswagen Passat GLS station wagon in excellent condition.  Here is a picture from the web that I found:

Not only is it in excellent condition I am told it has electric everything on the inside which is a definite plus AND when I start to teach in January I will now have the extra room to bring both my Cricut Expression, Cricut Expression 2, my Sizzix and all the supplies I will need without having to figure out where to put it all in my car!

So this truly has been a GREAT day with GREAT news and wonderful giving people.

The friend of my mom who this is coming from has come into a newer vehicle by surprise which is why she is getting rid of it.  My mom said to me a few minutes ago that her friend actually missed driving it...LoL!

Birthday and Baby Shower

Good Evening Everyone!

I have been working today on a birthday card for Eric's dad and also on a baby shower card for his cousin Stephanie which is tomorrow.

I had wanted to do something different with the baby shower card than what I really did, but as a lot of you know all to well that sometimes what we want to do on or with a card creation just won't cooperate with us.  So I had to make some adjustments and this is what I came up with.

The paper is Webster's Lullaby Lane collection with some brown ribbon, blue card stock and the chipboard stickers are from K & Company, also 2 brads from BoBunny.

This is the birthday card for Jim {Eric's dad}...

The paper is from DCWV for the checkered patterned paper, the rest is just regular card stock with a brown ribbon and white ribbon, 4 gem pearls from K & Company.  The eye chart is something that I found online, there isn't a name to give credit to.  

I hope you like these cards.  I will be back either later on to show you day 16 of 31 Days of Halloween or that will be tomorrow.

Saturday and new things all around!!!

Have you ever thought to yourself 'If I was more positive or more motivating I will feel better about myself'?  Well that is something that I have been thinking about kind of all night here. {yes I have been up all night ~ again}.

I got this book a while ago called "A Daily Creativity Journal ~ Make Something Happen Everyday" and so I was thinking, what if I wrote out a positive statement, quote, whatever so long as it's positive and filled with meaning for me every day!  I thought some more about how I wanted to really do this and well, for now at least in the beginning I am going to do them on ATC cards.  They are not necessarily ATC's,,,but then again they are.  I guess what I am saying is that I am making a set of cards that are geared for the positive and uplifting.  I may or may not decorate them.  That all depends on the day and time allotted for it.

I didn't really spruce up the first one but it's really a neat little phrase.   I got most of this from "Operation Beautiful"

31 Days of Halloween ~ Day 15!!!

Today's card is a kitty card that I couldn't resist creating...I LOOOOVE cats, have 4 of them.  This is a digi-stamp that I colored in with my Copic markers.  I am the first to admit that I need to practice more with them {the Copic's} so keep that in mind when looking at this card. :)

The sentiment is with Jokerman font printed off my computer.  The paper is My Minds Eye - Mischievous & We R Memory Keepers - Spookville & Orange cardstock.

31 Days of Halloween ~ Day 13 and Update on the car accident

Hello my fellow crafters!!!  I hope you are doing great today...I have had a bit of good news about my car.  Well I suppose that is all in how you look at the news and the situation you are in.

First of all I spoke with the accident/damage adjuster this afternoon {Wednesday} and he did say damages to my car total more than the cars value.  So Geico will be cutting me a check.  That is part one of the good news.  Well good news because I hopefully will be getting a car soon that will be mine and not a  "Spoil me ever time I ride it" car like I have now, LoL!  The other bit of good news is that Geico called me earlier on Wednesday before I spoke to the adjuster to let me know that the other drivers insurance company wanted to talk to me and hear my side of what happened.  They can not determine from what he told them who is at fault.  Now when I told Geico what happened and the truth for that matter they immediately said that I am not liable for this accident.  So I am really keeping my fingers crossed that when I do speak to their representative about what REALLY happened they will find him at fault and then I will have my deductible paid for!!!  So you see it was a decent day of news about the car situation. 

OK, now onto the 31 Days of Halloween!!!  For today, I created a card using my Gypsy and welding together a ghost image from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge to form and make one card.  I then used the Autumn Celebrations cartridge for the ghost eyes.  Yea I know usually a ghost doesn't have eyes like this...but I just couldn't resist putting these on him.  I think it's to cute!

The stamps used are from again Inkadinkado and Martha Stewart and the ink is Staz On and orange dye ink is used for the pumpkin.

31 Days Of Halloween ~ Day 12!!!

Good Afternoon everyone!

Hey guess what?! I am finally caught all back up with the 31 Days of Halloween...Yeah!

So I decided to make some bookmarks for today...I made 4 bookmarks all inked using Staz On black ink and the stamps are Recollections, Stampabilities, and Inkadinkado.  To color these in I used Twinkling H20's & my Pentel Water Brush {which is a GREAT tool to have btw}, the only thing that was colored using a water color pencil was the dog.

I hope you like these and I hope you are also checking out the others that are in the 31 Days of Halloween...just look at my sidebar and you will see the list of the links!  These crafters are all WONDERFUL artists so I do hope you take a peek at them.

31 Days Of Halloween ~ Day 11!!! Slider Card!!!

Hello everyone...I'm still playing catch-up but I am at the last one...so YEA!!!

For Day 11, I created a slider card.  I am just learning how to make these cards and they are EASSSY PEASSSSSY to put together.

This card here though took some time and I really am pleased with the turn out.

I used my Cricut Expression 2 with my Gypsy & cartridges Autumn Celebrations & Phrases cartridge.  All images on the from aside from the Happy Halloween are stamped images.

Here are the pictures...I hope you like it!

What I did was after creating the Frankenstein at 6 inches, I cut him in half at 3 inches and when you pull on the card you will see all of him!  Pretty neat huh? LoL!
