Some news and of course more cards!

All my doctor appointments & tests are over now...

I am waiting for the results of the endoscopy that was this past Monday and the biopsy he did on my stomach.  As for the other biopsy that I was supposed to have, I went to doctor and he didn't see any cells that were abnormal and so he did not perform the biopsy yesterday.  Thank God!!!  All is okay for that matter.
Like I said, just waiting on word from the GI doc now.

Yes I have more cards to share with you all too!
I have been a card making machine here lately.  I am trying my hardest to get everything ready for this Saturday and the Brown Grass Festival in Rabbit Hash, Kentucky.  It's supposed to be 91 degrees Saturday...ugh!  But I am still looking forward to it.

Here are my latest:

I love this little guy!!!

The colorful Thank You cards are actually a nice big set consisting of 12 cards, same with the Get Well and the Hope cards; they are sets.

Oh and my Gypsy just decided to freeze up on me 2 days ago and not work no matter what I did and tech support couldn't help either.  So I am currently waiting on the shipping label to send it back to Provo Craft and they are going to send me a new Gypsy.  I love my Gypsy and was so bummed out when this happened.  But I will get a new on so hopefully that one will give me no problems.  It locked up after I updated it...has that ever happened to any of you?  Because the tech support said that that happens sometimes.  I wonder how you can avoid this and still get the needed updates; hmmm, I'll have to investigate that one.

For now this is all I have...I hope you all have a fantastic day and thank you again for stopping by and looking!

Take Care Everyone!

What a week...The doctors have turned me into a pin cushion

Hello everyone!
Happy Sunday to you all!!!

I have had crazy last week with the doctors and not to mention I am going to be a vendor at a festival next Saturday the 16th & I have been trying like mad to get ready for that as well.
Let me just say as far as the doc's go, I have to have a biopsy and I am very scared.  I was crying when I got the call from doctor's assistant telling me that I needed one.  Eric was here  with me and while I was on the phone he held my hand and wrote on a post-it note to me "Biopsy just sounds scary, we'll be alright you & me...together"  Isn't he the sweetest?!  So I on Wednesday to have that done, the 13th.  Monday though on the 11th, I have to get up "before the birds do" as Eric put it the other day to be at  hosp at 6:45 AM for an Endoscopy scheduled for 7:45 AM.  I have such bad heartburn that it's burned my vocal cords and I sometimes lose my voice.  I have also had chest pains and another doc said that the heartburn is probably causing that.  W00T! Joy! LoL!
So I have people praying for me and I have been trying to keep on the positive end about all this.
Please feel free though to add your prayers...

I still have managed to keep busy and create, create, create...
Here are the latest...hope you like:

I actually have more to show you but I just made them today and have not taken pics yet.  So they will be on here next time.

I have been trying to make as many cards and inventory what I already do have as quickly and as efficiently as possible this last week.  I am going to be a vendor at the Brown Grass Festival 2011 down in Rabbit Hash, Kentucky on July 16th.  I have never been a vendor before and I am a wee bit nervous but I have lots of lists and have been keeping on task thus far!  Yea me, LoL!

Thank you again for stopping by and have a GREAT DAY!!!

You're Special

You're Special

You're special. In all the world there is nobody like you.
.Since the beginning of time, there there has never been another person like you. Nobody has your smile. Nobody has your eyes, your nose, your hair, your hands, your voice. You're special.
No one can be found who has your handwriting.
Nobody anywhere has your tastes - for food or music or art. No one sees things as you do.
In all of time there has been no one who laughs like you, no one who cries like you. And what you laugh and cry will never provoke identical laughter and tears from anybody else, ever.
No one reacts to any situation just as you would react. You're special.
You're the only one in all of creation who has your set of abilities. Oh, there will always be somebody who is better at one of things you're good at, but no one in the universe can reach the quality of your combination of talents, ideas, abilities and feelings. Like a room full of musical instruments, some may excel alone, but none can match the symphony sound when all are played together. You're a symphony.
Through all of eternity no one will ever look, talk, walk, think, or do like you. You're special. You're rare.
And, as in all rarity, there is great value.
Because of your great rare value, you need not attempt to imitate others. You will accept - yes, celebrate - your differences.
You're special. And you're beginning to realize it's no accident that you're special. You're beginning to see that God made you special for a very special purpose. He must have a job for you that no one else can do as well as you. Out of all the billions of applicants, only one is qualified, only one has the right combination of what it takes.
That one is you. Because...You're special.

FRIDAY IS HERE!!!! W0oT!

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!

I only have a few minutes to post this now and will not be here most of weekend due to holiday and spending it with my kiddios & Eric...

I did want to show you these cards that I have completed in the last 2 days.  I hope you like!

The two bottom corners were heat embossed with
white embossing powder & heat gun.  Behind the dove
is a piece of swirly felt I had which I think came
in perfect!
 This is a Clean & Simple card...nuff said :)

I used my Sizzix Big Shot on the purple card stock
& my newest "TOY" my Cricut 2 for the Happy Birthday
& the Scallop.  The Happy Birthday is from the
Stretch Your Imagination cartridge.

Here is another CAS card pretty much like
the other above :)

We are all going to see Transformers 3 tomorrow afternoon.  Actually we are hitting the 11:45 showing and there will be Kevin and his new girlfriend Candace {who by the way is a real sweetie, I like her}, Kristin, James{that's Eric's brother}, Eric & me!  Eric actually took the day off tomorrow so that he could have a 4 day weekend which turned into a 5 day weekend b/c he went to a special doctor with me today and ended up taking whole day today off.  So YEAH!!!

Have a SAFE and WONDERFUL three or two day weekend, where ever you may be!
{HUGGLES} to you all!

Card #2 for the Summer Card Camp 2011

Good afternoon everyone!  Hope your day is as sunny outside as mine is.
The only bad thing about that though is that inside here I am either freezing or hot.  There seems to be no pleasing Christy in the A/C department.  I'm just like this in the Winter though so I really don't understand why I am like this.  I know I cannot tolerate heat or even just being stuffy inside.

Eric and I went through a ton of clothes last night and it is just a never ending battle with our clothes.  At least my clothes just out of no where double and triple. One might think this is a great thing, but not when you have to wash it all and fold it {WHICH I DETEST FOLDING IT}.  Soooo anyway, we got all our winter and the "these don't fit me anymore" clothes out of the drawers and closets and stored away.

OK, so about this card I made today.  Jennifer McGuire showed us how to make a card using a transparency.  This is something that I have always wanted to know how to do.  Well the card I ended up using vellum on it instead.  Every ink I used it seemed wanted to smear, not want to dry quick enough, not dark enough, blah blah blah.  So I switched it from a "Get Well" card to a "Just Because" card.  Actually IDK what type of card you would classify this in.  You tell me.
Here is the card front
Inside the card I also have the same orange
paper with the same butterflies stamped on it
using Vera Mark ink

Here is a bit of a close up of the sides
I used a Fiskars border punch and then the sky blue
is Stickles

This is the close-up of the vellum window with
the quote from Emily Dickenson.
Surrounding it are more Stickles.

Just another full photo of the front

The one thing I was worried about was cutting the window in the correct place.  Aaaaaand, since I really do not have Sizzix dies that cut out these for me {I mainly use it to emboss}, I used my new Cricut 2 & Gypsy with the Storybook cartridge.  You wanna know something really cool?  It worked on the first try!  It cut perfectly centered.  I love being able to see the mat before I cut.  Both the newest Cricut does that as well as the Gypsy which makes crafting even more fun...if that's even a possibility?

Well I must end for now...If you didn't get a chance to see my WEEK 1 DAY 1 card just scroll down or click on this LINKY LINK RIGHT HERE and you will go right to it.
Thank you so much for stopping by again, I love having company!
Take Care Everyone!!!

Summer Card Camp 2011 Has Begun ~ Wo0T!!!

Good morning everyone! I am actually so super excited about the beginning of Summer Card Camp 2011. The class is given by Jennifer McGuire & Kristina Werner two people who I personally admire for their creative talents.  Not to mention they are have tons of big named guests throughout the 4 week class!  The link above will tell you all about it.

On Monday we were given the colors to work with for the week.
They are warm shades of purple, pink, and orange alongside a sky blue and white.  I have to say that I have not used these colors together EVER on the same project. But I did do a card, an easel card.  I seem to do a lot of easel cards I think...hmmmmm.  I just really think they are neat, and very easy to make.

So here is my card that I appropriately entitled
"Miracles"

Card Opened Fully

Side-view of card

The stamp says "Miracles happen to those who believe".  I just purchased this stamp last week actually and I felt it was the perfect sentiment to use here.  I hope you like it.  I am really going to try to keep up with this class.  I am sure that there will be a day here and there that I will get behind, but I will try my hardest and that is all I can do!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a FANTASTICAL DAY!!!
